Agreement

Fairway Creek Retrievers will provide your dog with a comfortable place to stay in exchange for the payment of our fees and subject to the following Terms and conditions.

We will ensure that 

1. your dog sleeps safely inside

2. your dog is given food and treats 

3. your dog is given plenty of  exercise with access to a secure paddock to play and run. 

4. your dog is cared for and supervised and looked after with love and individualised attention.

We will provide everything necessary to ensure that your dog has a comfortable and safe stay.

Acceptance

If you elect to proceed with your booking, this will be treated as confirmation of your acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit 4 weeks prior to your dog staying with us and the remaining balance 3 days prior. ** See fees on Retriever Retreat information page.  

While we understand that plans change, we do require that you notify us as soon as possible if you no longer require our services as our facility only has a small number of dogs to ensure that your dog is given individual care.  

If you cancel 2-4 weeks prior to your dog staying with us, we will refund 50% of the deposit paid. 

If you cancel inside 2 weeks prior to your dog staying with us the entire deposit will be kept.

No cancelation fee if your dog has been cancelled outside the 4 weeks prior to boarding with us.

Pick up/drop off service

While all attempts will be made to arrange pick up and delivery pursuant to your wishes, Fairway Creek Retrievers have the right to amend drop off and pick of your dog to align with other dogs schedule and our runs between Sydney and Newcastle.  In the event that we are unable to drop off or pick up on the days that you request, a half day rate will be charged for the extra days your dog is with us.  

Should arrangements not be made for the collection or drop off of your dog and we are unable to contact you after 60 days, we will be required to rehome your dog. 

Fire/Flood

An active evacuation plan is in place in the event of a fire or flood which will include relocating your dog to a safe place if required.  The acceptance of our Terms and Conditions by you means that you acknowledge that the care of your dog in these circumstances may not be directly under Fairway Creek Retrievers however,  your dog will be safely located and indirectly in our care.  We will of course notify you as soon as possible of your dogs location and the follow up plan.  You will not be required to collect your dog until the scheduled pick up date unless you wish to.

Accidents and Injury

We live on a farm, and the dogs will play on acerage.  Occasionally dogs injure themselves, accidents and illness can arrise when playing and running on a farm.

Although the utmost care will be taken during the period of your retrievers stay with us, in the event of  accidental injury, illness, disease, snake bites or death whilst in boarding or in transit, we can not accept responsibility, 

In the event that your dog does incur injury, illness, disease, snake bite or death whilst with us, they will be taken to the vet as soon as possible and you will be notified.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog is guarded against flea and ticks and worming is up to date.

Vet care and Insurance 

Fairway Creek Retrievers have a thorough insurance policy to cover accidents and emergencies that may occur while your dog is in our care.  Our vet is located 40 minutes away.  A vet appointment will be made if necessary and if urgently required, your dog will be seen as an emergency.  If you have a pet plan insurance policy, we will ask you for the policy  and number if your dog is being treated.  As we run a small retreat, any issues that may arise will be seen early and treated accordingly.  This is a benefit of only having a small number of dogs stay with us at a time.  Any additional costs incurred by Fairway Creek Retrievers on your behalf from these appointments or by other third parties that are necessary to provide adequate care to your dog must be paid before your dogs departure from Fairway Creek Retrievers

Your Responsibilities

By proceeding with your booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to place the dog in our care and enter into an agreement with us.  We do require that you ensure the information provided is accurate and the following is provided no later than 1 week prior to your dogs stay with us:

1.Any medical information and a care plan if you dog is under treatment as well as a certificate from your vet that they are fit for boarding and are not infectious

2.Proof of vaccination 

You are required to provide to us your pet insurance policy if necessary during your dogs stay.  You are responsible for your dogs flea and tick upkeep prior and during its stay with us.

You agree that you have been given the opportunity to inspect the Fairway Creek Retrievers facility. 

You release Fairway Creek Retrievers and its owners from any claims and Fairway Creek Retrievers shall not be liable for any costs including, but not limited to solicitor/client legal costs and expenses on a full indemnity basis.

You agree that Fairway Creek Retrievers shall not be liable for any loss damage, costs or expense arising out of any injury, damage, death or claims which may arise or be caused by and notwithstanding the same be attributed to neglect by Fairway Creek Retrievers, its employees agents or any other person whose care or control Fairway Creek Retrievers may place the dog.  

Amendments

Fairway Creek Retrievers retain the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

General

These Terms and conditions are subject to the laws of New South Wales.  If you do not agree with any of the terms you have the opportunity to seek independent legal advise regarding these Terms and Conditions.

If a provision of this agreement is held to be invalid, void, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will not be affected.  If a provision is not enforced by Fairway Creek Retrievers, the failure will not be treated as a waiver of the provision or restrict the provision from being subsequently enforced.
